Go look, I’ll wait…. See? It’s all that mail you didn’t want, or ask for, clogging up your mail client. Now, spam is Unsolicited email delivered to you without your permission. We take into consideration personal mail, which our friends and aquaintances have default “permission” to send us stuff, even if we didn’t ASK for it.

Now, Permission based marketing differes in that we ASK our clients and customers if they’d like to receive email from us. We make it easy to sign up, and just as easy to get off the list. We promise not to spam them, we promise not to sell the list to others. Period.

We dress it up like a newsletter, make it look pretty (Or not..) and deliver it to them on a fairly set schedule. Once every couple of weeks, maybe monthly. We put in coupons they can use for discounts, tell them some news about whats going on here (Widget mfg. has a new color this month!) and give them reasons to look for the email. It might contain helpful hints for them, it might contain news about that new product, or service, it has the new MENU of food items for the restaurant…

The point is this, Permission marketing is simple to set up, easy to maintain, and effective to use. It’s also more cost effective than advertising in the paper (Although we don’t suggest you NOT advertise in the papers), It’s more effective than mass mailing (Although we don’t suggest you stop That either).

This blog is simply where we put ideas for you, the small to medium sized business, and the consumers who use them, to be open to new ideas in how you do business.

This is the logo for Mohawk Valley Sign and Design. It was designed as a circular logo, but the Initials Break out, giving it a sense of motion.
